Slightly buzzed on my 28 + 1 birthday!

I really like being 28, so a friend of mine suggested that I refer to today as my 28 + 1 b-day. I like this. Next year would be my 28 + 2 birthday. I like this as well :-)

Went to my old b-day haunt, Cafe Pacifico tonight. I ordered a margarita, but the shot of tequila was sent over by my friend Gav's friend and the glasses of sangria were brought over by a woman celebrating her b-day at the next table over.

I'd just finished my margarita and was staring at the shot of tequila so when this lady brought over sangria, I was like, "Is this for real!" She was like, "This is for you!" and I said, "Um, okay, but why?" and she said she and her sister had ordered too much and they couldn't finish the pitcher. She said her sister had advised that she pour the sangria in front of us so we knew it was safe, but she didn't listen to her and I said, "Hey, you're not trying to da.te ra.pe me, are ya?" and she laughed and gave me a hug. Nothing like sangria + shared birthdays to bond people together!

I am shameless when it comes to my b-day, so I even told the boys who make me my breakfast at Kafa cafe that it was my birthday. They gave me a free cup of tea and even drew a birthday cake and birthday wish on the cup. And they made me rhubarb and ginger toast on sourdough bread too. Yum!

Owen + Mer gave me a cute butterfly frame. I am putting a picture of Tom Welling in it. My co-worker to my left has a framed photo of his lovely girlfriend on his desk, so why can't I have a photo of my lovely pretend boyfriend, Tom Welling? I have to make it a photo with his shirt on, however, since it is supposed to be a professional work environment. ;-)

Emsy made me a cute b-fly birthday power point presentation! Ooooh, must ask her to stick Tom Welling into that too. Shirtless!!! :-)
